How many fans of the same music genre as you are going to NOS ALIVE? If you’ve ever asked yourself this question, or if you’re eager to make real connections, get ready, because this year’s edition of the festival brings an incredible new feature for anyone who loves meeting new people. Heineken ’s presence at NOS ALIVE is felt—and experienced—through the concept of its latest global campaign, “Fans Have More Friends.”
To ensure this message becomes a truly immersive experience from start to finish, the famous beer brand has prepared a special journey that begins even before you enter the venue.
From the moment you arrive at Algés Station, passing by the Heineken House to discover the “Clinker” —a smartband that easily attaches to glasses and cans and can show you your next musicalmatch —not to mention the Heineken Stage, get ready to share your passion for music on July 9, 10, and 11, at one of Portugal’s biggest summer festivals.
Music brings people together

Music is a universal language that can bring complete strangers together, even if they come from different parts of the world and different cultures. What really matters is the desire to get into the groove with the same artists and sing the choruses of your favorite songs nonstop. And this phenomenon has been confirmed by various studies.
According to a global study conducted by FocalData for Heineken, 59% of fans say their closest friendships were born out of a shared passion. In Portugal, this idea gains even more traction when we look at another survey revealing that music is the form of entertainment that interests Portuguese people the most (81%).
The starting point is Algés Station
The Algés train station is the arrival point for thousands of festivalgoers heading to NOS ALIVE, but it’s also the starting point for an immersive experience. Even before you enter the festival grounds, you’ll find a creative installation here featuring projections based on the musical tastes of the festival audience.
“Reggaeton fans, rock the stage with 11,492 friends”—this is just one example of the kind of messages you’ll find scattered throughout Algés Station. The goal is very simple: to realize that, even if you feel alone, there are plenty of potential connections all around you among music fans. Heineken gives you the “help” you need to break the ice because, after all, fans have more friends. And it’s just one step from toasts to new conversations, right?
Find your next musical match

More than just a booth, the Heineken House is the heart of the experience at the NOS ALIVE venue. What does this mean? Simply put, in this space, fans will find everything they need to take their social life at the festival to the next level .
Between concerts, this is the perfect meeting spot for anyone who wantsto take a break, unwind, and celebrate the bestthing in life— friends. It’s right here that you’ll have the chance to try “Clinker.”
As the major technological highlight of this year’s festival, this innovation arrives at the Algés Waterfront to bring together different people with shared interests. Developed by Heineken in partnership with the agencies LePub and LeGarage, the “Clinker” functions as a kind of smart wristband that can be wrapped around a Heineken glass or can.
Without needing to download any app—and simply by scanning a QR code— the “Clinker” will link your musical profile via Spotify. Then, when it’s time to toast, you“clink” with another fan. The result? It’s displayed through light signals: if itflashes orange, it means there’s a moderate musical affinity; if it rotates green, congratulations —you’ve found a powerfulmusical match .
From giveaways to the Heineken Stage
If you “click” with someone, take the opportunity to deepen that connection atthe Heineken Stage. Big names in music will be performingthere , including Alabama Shakes, the Pixies, The War on Drugs, and Matt Berninger, among others. So, it’s the perfect “excuse” to jump around, get hyped, and sing until your throat hurts. Because shared tastes and preferences might just be the beginning of a great story. From a toast to life—who knows? When a passion is shared, fans make more friends!
… And don’t forget to look up at the sky!
But these aren’t the only surprises Heineken has in store for you. The “icing on the cake” comes in the form of an incredible drone show, before each day’s headliner takes the stage. So, as night falls, 750 drones will “invade” the sky over the Algés Waterfront, promising to capture everyone’s attention.
This year, the show features 250 more drones than last year, thanks to a larger investment by Heineken in partnership with NOS. The result? A choreographed display full of dynamic animations, more complex and immersive visuals, and an absolutely unforgettable experience.
