Figueira Christmas Gourmet is returning to Praça da Figueira, in downtown Lisbon, for its 3rd edition, in what promises to be a unique gastronomic experience full of novelties.
The Associação de Dinamização da Baixa Pombalina (ADBP) is once again organizing this event, which will run from November 20 to December 21, bringing with it a programme full of Christmas flavours and showcookings with nationally and internationally renowned chefs.
Food, tradition and conviviality
Promoted by the Associação de Dinamização da Baixa Pombalina (ADBP), which has been establishing Figueira Christmas Gourmet as one of the hallmarks of downtown Lisbon during the Christmas season, the aim is to highlight Portuguese and international cuisine, bring the public closer to those who cook and create a moment of respite from the hustle and bustle of Christmas, reinforcing the idea that the table is a place for sharing and creating memories.
The guest chefs
The highlight is the panel of guest chefs, who will be presenting live recipes over the course of several Fridays and Saturdays at 5pm : from Noélia Jerónimo’s Caldeirada de Litão Algarvia to Nikita’s Turkey Pies with Orange and Cinnamon, and proposals such as Fábio Gomes’ Crocante de Pirão de Milho , Alessandra Borsato ‘ s Espetadinhas de Pato com Cachaça , Rogério Miranda’s Torricado de Bacalhau or Natalie’s Arroz Doce com Lemon Curd.
There are also creations such as Grilled Pear in Port with Spice Crumble by Elísio Bernardes, Chestnut Taco with Lardo and Cheese by Rui Rebelo, Pork Cheek Rice with Red Beans and Lombardo by Vítor Sobral, and “Rabanada com Tempo” by Hugo Guerra, which closes the program.
