With this in mind, and as a way of relaxing the little ones and, of course, the parents too, who at this time are completely stressed out with shopping for school supplies, we went in search of plans on what to do with the little ones in the city of Lisbon, so that the return to school is as relaxed as possible.
From watching animals to simply strolling through Lisbon’s various gardens, on this list you’ll find plenty of things to do until the “ringing of the bell” starts.

Watching dolphins in the Tagus
Kids love dolphins. It’s a fact. And now that they’ re visiting the Tagus River more frequently, take advantage of the tide and venture out with the little ones on this dolphin-watching trip in the company of a marine biologist.
Jumping on trampolines
Just two hours or however many you want to add. The idea is to make them tired, on a day that guarantees lots of fun for the whole family and the certainty that you’ll get home and the little ones will fall asleep in no time.

Calouste Gulbenkian Planetarium
From the sea to the stars, next to the Navy Museum is the Calouste Gulbenkian Planetarium. Inside you’ll find a large projector that recreates more than 9,000 stars, the Milky Way, the constellations and much more, making this the ideal place to be entertained and, at the same time, learn a little more about the Universe.
Stroll through the Ajuda Botanical Garden
For a child, a stroll through the Ajuda Botanical Garden may not seem like much fun, but we guarantee that once the little ones enter this little forest of knowledge, they ‘ll want to do it again and again, not least because there’s plenty of outdoor space where they can run around… and their parents can relax.
Eating pizzas
What child doesn’t love a good pizza with melted cheese? Not one, right? So before school starts, indulge them once again and take them to one of our favorite pizzerias.

Painting, drawing or playing with Legos
You can also have fun without leaving the comfort of your own home. Painting, drawing or playing with Legos are among the favorites of the little ones when it comes to stay at home.

The weather is still good for enjoying this water park
If there’s one thing children love more than the beach, it’s the fun they can have in a water park, like this one in the Algarve, which only closes on September 12th. Best of all, children up to the age of 4 don’t pay.

Enjoy the last few days at the beach
You may have already enjoyed every day of your vacation, but we’ve never seen a child complain about not wanting to go to the beach. But this time do something different and, for example, share a surf lesson at one of these littleschools. Fun is guaranteed and family ties will be stronger than ever.

Enjoy an immersive experience
There are many in Lisbon, but today we’re going to introduce you to one of the most colorful, Living Van Gogh, which is free for children up to 5 years old.
Let’s discover Lisbon’s treasures
By treasures we mean museums, which are magical vaults full of stories, inventions and secrets from the past. And in Lisbon you can find enchanting carriages, optical illusions and even puppets that seem to come to life. Each of these museums is a journey through time and space, where you learn while you play.
