After drawing 25,000 visitors in the 2024 edition, Cidade do Zero returns in September with its largest edition ever.
On September 19 and 20, Eduardo VII Park will be transformed into a sustainable “mini-city” featuring 15,000 square meters of activities, markets, debates, and hands-on experiences— all with free admission.
What’s new in this edition of “Cidade do Zero”

The change in location is one of the major new features: for the first time, the event will take place in one of Lisbon’s most iconic green spaces, bringing the setting in line with the project’s mission.
This new edition also coincides with European Mobility Week, making this theme one of the central focuses of the program. In partnership with GIRA and Lime, visitors will be able to use shared bicycles and scooters for free throughout the weekend, making the trip to the event itself part of the experience.

The most notable new feature is the permaculture micro-farm: a living space with fruit trees, a vegetable garden, chickens, and a composting area, where visitors can learn firsthand about the principles of regenerative agriculture and natural cycles.
The program also includes lectures and debates with experts on climate, energy, mobility, construction, and the green economy, as well as workshops, cooking demonstrations, and repair workshops for appliances, clothing, and other items.

The sustainable brands market—featuring fashion, cosmetics, footwear, jewelry, and home decor— is also returning, this time on a larger scale, as are the swap market and the food court, with additional space for stand-up comedy shows and activities for children and families.
