In an initiative between Seixal Town Hall and the Correio da Manhã newspaper, this summer will only start on July 19th, when the newest water park in Greater Lisbon, Splash Seixal, opens.
Until August 25, children and adults alike will have a new place for water fun, which is so much needed in the intense heat.
What to do at Splash Seixal?
Set up by the river, on the town’s river pier, the Splash Seixal water park will be open every day between 10am and 7pm, full of inflatables that end their journeys in large pools, much to the amusement of the little ones, who will also be able to enjoy all this fun in the water: Wild Splash, Kamikaze Splash, Banzai Splash, Colossus Splash and Climb & Splash.
Two large swimming pools and an outdoor pool make up the rest of the spaces where everyone can enjoy themselves for days on end.
Youngsters and adults can also join in the fun with the tree climbing circuit, fitness classes and the beach volleyball court, as well as leisure and rest areas and, of course, a street food area to restore energy, making these days even more enjoyable and fun for the whole family.
What you need to know
As these are amusements for the little ones, every care is taken and there are some rules that must be respected as much as possible:
- No one under the age of 12 may enter Splash Seixal without the company of an adult who is responsible for their supervision and behavior;
- Animals are forbidden, except for guide dogs;
- No eating, drinking or smoking is allowed in the water activity areas;
- Wear unsuitable clothing for water activities;
- Although there is a food area offering hot dogs, hamburgers, pizzas, toasts, etc., you can bring your own food and drink from home.
Despite all these rules, the organization also guarantees that the entire venue will be under permanent surveillance by lifeguards to ensure everyone’s safety.
