The famous slogan that defined generations —“Telepizza, the secret is in the dough!” —has been given new life: “The secret is still in the dough!”
All because the well-known restaurant chain specializing in pizza has just revamped its recipe by introducing a true innovation in the fast-food segment to the domestic market: the sourdough base.
What’s different about the new base?

Available since March 19, this new recipe was designed to meet growing consumer demand for more authentic and easily digestible products, without having to give up Telepizza’s delicious, traditional pizza slices.
Sourdough (or naturally leavened dough) breaks away from the traditional concept of fast food by bringing the texture and final flavor closer to those found in rustic artisanal bread, standing out for being:
- Lighter
- More natural
- Intense flavor
With this move, Telepizza positions itself as the first quick-service restaurant (QSR) operator nationwide to permanently include sourdough in its portfolio.

How can I try it, and what is the price?

Telepizza let us try almost all the versions you can already order with this new sourdough base:
- Pesto and Chouriço
- Beef Stew and Onions
- Barbecue
- Pancetta
- Margherita
- Among others.
And you can also order your favorite medium-sized pizzas with sourdough crust for just one euro (€1) more; if you choose any of the exclusive pizzas on the menu, the sourdough crust is already included at no extra cost.
