Alfama festival program
This festival is a benchmark of Lisbon’s Santos Populares, offering almost a month of festivities, tradition and conviviality in Alfama, with lots of music, typical food and fun for all ages.
As happens every year, live popular music is expected, with some of the most entertaining musical ensembles of the “Santos” (on Fridays, Saturdays, holiday eves and on the night of Santo António, June 12); and as far as food and drink are concerned, there is practically everything on offer in the various stalls, with grilled sardines being the neighborhood specialty, as well as bifanas.
