Lisbon’s neighborhoods are gearing up for the most anticipated season of the year: the Popular Saints’ Festival. All across the city, there will be no shortage of festivals, basil plants, and the unmistakable smell of grilled sardines. And, of course, Alvalade is no exception.
Following the success of previous editions, the Arraial de Alvalade is getting ready to “take over” the São João de Brito Municipal Sports Complex. From June 9 to 13, Quim Barreiros, Rosinha, Táxi, and many others will liven up this part of the city at an event with free admission.
Shall we go dancing?
Organized by the Alvalade Parish Council and the São Miguel Rugby Club, the festival’s program combines the unmatched energy of big names in popular music with some new talent.
In addition, this year brings something new—the creation of a dance stage, which promises to keep the party going late into the night throughout the four days of the event. But let’s take a look at the schedule:
- June 9 – Quim Barreiros and DJ Don André
- June 10 – Rosinha and Deixa Rolá
- June 12 – Táxi and Paladin, Tudo ao Molho
- June 13 – Miguel Luz and Remember 90s vs 00s
Food and entertainment for everyone
Just like other festivals in Lisbon, at Arraial de Alvalade you’ll be swept up in an incredible festive atmosphere from the very first minute.
There will be no shortage of food stalls, grilled meats, roasted sardines, music, and even a play area dedicated to the little ones.
