Every year, around springtime, the Gardens of the Palace of the Marquises of Pombal in Oeiras host a big celebration to mark Easter.
This year it will take place even before Easter Sunday, on March 28 and 29, and will feature an Easter egg hunt, animals, theater , and free admission.
Fun for everyone, especially the little ones

The gates open at 10 a.m. and remain open until 9 p.m., with a variety of activities designed to entertain the whole family, featuring outdoor events that combine time in nature with other cultural activities.
The event “Once Upon a Time in the Marquês Gardens – Spring” is perfect for children, and, as is traditional for the season, the highlight for the little ones will be the customary Easter egg hunt, with the garden party rounded out by educational games, face painting, and a children’s book fair.
During these two days, everyone will also have the opportunity to see and interact up close with ponies, rabbits, and birds of prey.

This year’s program also features musical performances, theater shows, and various workshops, ranging from arts and crafts to cooking workshops, all with an environmental focus.
You’ll also be able to visit a Tea Room, set up in a tent strategically placed next to the Poets’ Waterfall, which makes for an incredible backdrop to take plenty of photos.
It is also in this area where you’ll find food and drinks, with a particularly sweet selection of local restaurants and bakeries on offer during these days .
