We haven’t even reached Christmas Eve yet, but some people are already thinking ahead to 2024. If you’re looking for the best parties, here’s another suggestion: New Year’s Eve in Cascais.
According to the municipal newspaper C, the Bay of Cascais will be the backdrop for a show with 300 drones, “the biggest New Year’s Eve event” of its kind “held in mainland Portugal”.
At around 11.55pm, and for ten minutes, several drones will appear in the skies in sync for an impressive visual narrative in the form of text messages and monuments from the municipality of Cascais.
Afterwards, the New Year’s Eve party program in Cascais includes a fireworks display to welcome the New Year in the best way possible.
According to the same source, for safety reasons, during the New Year’s Eve party in Cascais, traffic will be cut off from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m. (from December 31 to January 1) at the following points: Rotunda João Paulo II (Cascais Cultural Center) and Rotunda Filipe Nobre de Figueiredo (near Jardim Visconde da Luz).
