We’re well aware that you’re also “against” all the “inventions ” that try to be made with the traditional Lisbon cake. Nobody should mess with our pastéis de nata, right? We’re also advocates of sticking to the recipe, but when we looked at the proposals for the Festival da Nata at Nat’elier, we confess we were a little curious.
On October 25, 26 and 27, between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., Nat’elier, which is located downtown next to the Elevador de Santa Justa, will offer all its visitors a unique gastronomic experience where the pastel de nata is the main protagonist, as you’ll be able to taste it in various combinations, while enjoying live music.
Flavors you’ve never tasted before
We don’t know how you like your pastéis de nata. We like them plain or with a little cinnamon. That’s why we believe that no one is prepared for the fusion of flavors you’ll find at this Festival da Nata.
And who else could bring us these combinations than award-winning chef João Batalha, who has already given us suggestions ranging from vegan pastel de nata, Nutella-filled pastel de nata and even chestnut-filled pastel de nata .
At this Cream Festival you’ll be able to taste other delicacies with exclusive flavors, such as pistachio or port wine.
You can also take part in Masterclasses, sessions that allow you to learn how to make the real pastel de nata.
To the taste of DJ duo The Guese
To accompany the whole sweet experience, the DJ duo The Guese will liven up the festival with a mix of electronic music with Lusitanian influences, plus lots of surprises and quizzes.
