If you live on the south bank, you no longer need to travel to Lisbon to take advantage of the low prices at Normal stores in the capital: the first store of this Danish brand arrives on January 14 at Barra Shopping, in Barreiro.
After a 2025 of accelerated expansion, Normal has chosen the other side of the Tagus for its first big debut of 2026. On January 14, at 10 a.m., Barra Shopping will open its doors to what promises to be one of the busiest stores in the region.
What can you expect from the new store in Barreiro?
If you’re not already familiar with the concept, Normal stands out for its unconventional retail model: instead of aisles in a line, the store is organized in a labyrinth format, designed to turn a simple purchase into a “treasure hunt”.
The brand’s strategy focuses on two pillars: constant novelties and low fixed prices. On the shelves of the new store, Barreiro residents will find:

- make-up from well-known brands and hair accessories that dominate the TikTok trends;
- Hygiene and personal care
- from prestigious international brands to Korean skincare products;
- Snacks and Drinks
- sweets and treats that are rarely found in traditional supermarkets;

- practical solutions and detergents at competitive prices.
The inauguration will include, as with all new openings of this brand, the distribution of gift cards to the first customers, interactive games outside the new store and exclusive surprises throughout the day.
