We went for the glasses because we love a good cocktail! And because going to a bar is one of the best places to be with friends, for that after-work drink or, why not, to relax with the family.
Anything goes when you go to one of these 7 bars, where they make the most incredible cocktails in town.
7 cocktail bars in Lisbon:
1 – V Rooftop Bar
Located on Avenida da Liberdade, V Rooftop Bar is in The Vintage Hotel, reopened with new contactless technology (the doors open with your cell phone) and a new menu with 10 cocktails, including Tuga Negroni, a Portuguese twist on the classic Negroni, with national gin (Sharish), sour cherry and muscatel.
A brilliant mix to go with a view of the São Jorge castle that’s even more fascinating.
2 – Red Frog Speakeasy
The Red Frog is one of the best cocktail bars in Lisbon and is even on the exclusive list of “The World’s 50 Best Bars”, and is always innovating its cocktail menu.
That’s why we can’t single any out, because they’re all a true work of art, which results in a single solution: you have to go there and try them .
It’s located at Praça da Alegria 66, near Avenida da Liberdade.
3 – Madame Petisca
A regular in our articles on places to have a good time in Lisbon, Madame Petisca is the place to try your next cocktail.
It has an extensive menu of refreshing concoctions.
4 – K.O.B by Olivier
K.O.B by Olivier has an excellent terrace, right in the middle of Rua do Salitre, between Rato and Avenida da Liberdade.
To accompany this opening, he also presented us with a cocktail menu of excellent alcoholic refinement. The cocktail menu is varied, with and without alcohol, including the Mojito Olivier, the Bellini and the refreshing Caipirinha, the perfect drinks to try on the new terrace.
5 – Cinco Lounge
For the mixologists at Cinco Lounge, simplicity is the key. And they’re right.
All we need is something very fresh, tasty and, it’s not too much to ask, different. And that’s what you’ll find at Cinco Woodland, the open-air venue where these professionals move every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 8pm.
6 – Double 9
Located right in the city center, on Rua da Misericórdia (Chiado), it stands out for its more luxurious appearance, perfect for impressing your best friends or colleagues at the end of another afternoon’s work.
The cocktail menu is very varied and, as you’d expect, creative.
7 – Geographia
If hotels with rooftop bars have a place in this top list, why wouldn’t they have a restaurant with some of the freshest cocktails we’ve ever had?
With food that speaks Portuguese from the four corners of the world, Geographia has an enviable menu of fresh cocktails: Caipirinha Gabriela (with cloves and cinnamon); Groguito (mojito with brown grog from Cape Verde); Gin & Jinha (with gin, ginjinha and national spices); and São Rosas (a mix of Portuguese gin and rose water syrup).
Are you brave enough to try them all?
