The Quack Shack burger joint is unlike any we’ve seen before, especially because its signature item uses duck instead of the traditional beef or pork.
The idea came from Michelin-starred chef Rodrigo Castelo, who “invented” this new burger concept in the Alvalade neighborhood.
Revamped menu
We’ve already been there (video of our experience above), but we’ve just learned that the menu has been revamped with two new creations from the renowned chef, and that this burger joint has established a new partnership with the artisanal bakery Gleba, located on the same street, which will now supply all the (exclusive) buns for Quack Shack’s menus.
This partnership reinforces the restaurant’s commitment to the quality of its ingredients, enhancing its artisanal and authentic character while respecting the raw materials and valuing manual processes.
What you’ll be able to try

To mark the introduction of Gleba’s new buns, Quack Shack has launched two completely new offerings:
- Hot Duck (€8.90)

- Quack Savage (€11.90 or €14.90 as a combo)

Also new, we’d like to highlight the new sweet potato fries (€3), a healthier alternative that joins the list of sides already available.
The classics take on a new dimension
With this new partnership, even the classic menu items have become even tastier, as the Quack Burger and the Quack Burger Double are now served on a toasted brioche bun, known for being soft and light— a naturally leavened bread made with sourdough starter over about 24 hours, ensuring it’s free of additives, preservatives, or refined sugars.

As for the best-selling Quack Signature— also our favorite—it is now served on a toasted NY-style croissant roll, offering a perfect contrast between a thin, crispy crust and a buttery interior.
