Lisbon is a city that stands out not only nationally, but also internationally for many reasons. However, this time, the Portuguese capital has not received any tourist accolades. In fact, instead, it hosted none other than the world’s longest lasagna line.
The feat took place this Sunday, July 20, next to the Lidl Belenenses store and earned an official entry in the Guinness World Records book. In all, the initiative brought together hundreds of people and featured a line made up of more than a thousand portions of lasagne.

350 kilos of lasagna
In a statement sent to Lisboa Secreta, Lidl Portugal said that the event served to “pay homage” to its exclusive lasagna recipe, as part of the brand’s 30th anniversary celebrations in the country.
But, after all, what ‘ s so special about it that you can enter it in Guinness? To get a better idea of the scale of this line of lasagna, just look at the following aspects involved in making it:
- 195 kgs of bolognese sauce
- 100 kgs of béchamel sauce
- 25 kgs of pasta
- 30 kgs of grated cheese
All this equaled, as already mentioned, a line of more than a thousand lasagnas weighing 350 kilos!
