After serious crises that sent the club tumbling into the district divisions, the Ribatejo-based team rose from the ashes like a “phoenix.”
After more than 20 years away from the top tier of national soccer, FC Alverca – Futebol, SAD returned to the elite in 2025/2026, not only securing its place in the league but also finishing in 11th place in the standings—well above the relegation line, an achievement that cannot be overlooked.
This journey of renewal has been driven not only by improved performance on the field but also by a commitment to modernizing its infrastructure. For this reason, and to keep pace with Portugal’s top clubs, the FC Alverca Sports Complex was recently renovated and now has a capacity of 6,932 seats.
