Located in the Martim Moniz area, in the heart of Lisbon, the Diyalo restaurant has some new features. After all, it recently renovated not only its space, but also its menu with a strong focus on Nepalese food (and more).
In the year in which it celebrates its 8th anniversary, Diyalo decided to expand its space, with the aim of becoming a meeting point for socializing and experimentation. As well as revamping the menu, the restaurant decided to improve its cocktail offering to add more exotic and contemporary flavors.
Diyalo restaurant with Nepal at its heart
In a press release, the restaurant points out that the influence of Nepal on the menu is a way of paying homage to the origins of its founder, Rabin Adhikari.
In this context, you are almost transported to Kathmandu without leaving Lisbon. Among the best-sellers are , for example, some of the following typical dishes:
- Momos, homemade Nepalese dumplings
- Diyalo Special Mix Momo, with six different varieties
- Pani Puri, wheat balls stuffed with potato, on the list of most popular starters
- Thali, a complete meal that can include up to ten different dishes
- Sekuwa, a variety of meat kebabs, among others.
All eyes on India
However, the diversity of Diyalo’s cuisine is not restricted to Nepal. There, you can also try Indian cuisine, with classic dishes and curries.
The following stand out, for example:
- Chicken Tikka Masala
- Lamb Curry
- Chicken Korma
- Chicken Tandoori
- Biryani, a basmati rice recipe flavored with a wide variety of ingredients and spices, among others
As well as Nepalese and Indian dishes, the restaurant also has room for some Portuguese dishes. Are you in the mood to try them?
