Some people still don’t find what Chef João Batalha “invents” based on our famous pastel de nata very funny, but the truth is that the Nat’elier pastry shop produces sweets that are hard to resist.
We know one thing for sure: anyone who still doesn’t want to try these pastéis de nata – because they think it’s a great “sacrilege” to our favorite cake – is the loser.
Chef, we love them, and we just have to thank you for the real “sins” that you make on a regular basis throughout the year. What will you present to us this Christmas? That’s what we’ll find out next.
Two novelties and one repeat

Let’s start with the novelties: Pastel de Nata de Ginja and Pastel de Nata de Café. This winter collection, which is once again limited, promises to be the big gastronomic sensation, both in the store and at the brand’s kiosk in Oeiras Parque.
The Pastel de Nata de Ginja offers an explosion of flavor that is both intense and fresh, with the highlight being the dark chocolate bonbon filled with sour cherry ganache.
The Pastel de Nata de Café is characterized by an Italian twist inspired by the coffee break, featuring a crunchy cannoli with a smooth and aromatic coffee mousse.
The Nata de Sonho, which we tasted last year, recreates the classic sweet of this season, keeping the base of the pastel de nata, but only with cinnamon and sugar to give it that Sonho look and taste. There’s also a choice of sweet sauce (last year there were pistachio, dulce de leche, Ferrero, Kinder and lemon cream).
For Chef João Batalha, who is also a founding partner of Nat’elier,
At Nat’elier we try to create memorable products without losing the essence of the pastel de nata. These new flavors are designed to awaken memories, warm you up on cold days and celebrate the spirit of the season. We want every customer to feel that they are tasting something unique, made with dedication and respect for tradition.”
The limited editions of these Nat’elier Christmas sweets are now available in the store (in Baixa) and at the kiosk in Oeiras Parque, for €2 a piece.
Address: Rua de Santa Justa 87 (Baixa); Avenida António Bernardo Cabral de Macedo (Oeiras)
