The bad weather and consecutive storms that have battered Portugal have left a trail of destruction, with the Central region being one of the most affected. To help the local population get back on their feet, several artists will come together for the charity concert “Amor ao Centro” (Love for the Center) on February 11 at Casa Capitão in Lisbon.
Ana Lua Caiano, Ana Mariano, Beatriz Pessoa, Bia Maria, Inês Apenas, Jasmim, Iolanda, João Maia Ferreira, Joana Espadinha, JÜRA, Lura, Mães Solteiras, Marisa Liz, Mike El Nite, Surma, and xtinto, as well as DJ sets by members of Bateu Matou, came together to create a wave of solidarity through music.
Ticket proceeds go to associations
In a statement sent to Lisboa Secreta, the organization announced that all proceeds from ticket sales , priced at €20.40, will go to two local associations:
- ATLAS – based in Coimbra and active in several cities such as Leiria, Marinha Grande, Pombal, Alcobaça, and Batalha
- Sharing Love – a non-governmental organization that carries out volunteer work in Ourém in the areas of education, housing, and health.
