If you’re looking for a new gastronomic challenge and you like burgers, BLADE restaurant, which only serves one dish on its menu, has just launched an exclusive burger with an ultra-limited edition of 100 units, which you can enjoy on two different days: 50 on December 6 and 50 on December 7.
It’s called the BLADE Burger, and this very special production takes advantage of the restaurant’s most premium ingredients, for a gastronomic experience that is perhaps unrepeatable.
Until stocks run out, which are extremely limited
Known for featuring only one dish on its menu, the steak (which we’ve already tried), BLADE restaurant created this special burger as a way of making the most of the meat resulting from the cutting of the pieces destined for the acclaimed BLADE Steak, which means that there may be more moments of this kind in the future, perhaps translated not only into burgers but also into other delicious delicacies.
But for now, let’s talk about the BLADE Burger, which will cost €12 , to which you can also add the house’s well-known side dishes (you’ll find them in our experience below in this article).
This rarity will be available to the public on December 6 and 7 (Saturday and Sunday), and 50 of these burgers will be made each day, for a total of 100 throughout the weekend, so it won’t be a fixed presence on the menu, nor will it have a set periodicity, always depending on the availability of the raw material
What goes into this BLADE Burger?
The main ingredient is meat, but the recipe includes a rich combination of flavors:
- Two cheeses: gouda and cheddar;
- Rich sauces: truffled mayonnaise and béarnaise sauce;
- Greens: pickles and iceberg lettuce.

We also took the opportunity to try the famous BLADE Steak, and the photo you see above is basically the entire food menu you’ll find at BLADE, one of the newest restaurants in Cais do Sodré (next to Mercado da Ribeira), which only has one dish on the menu, the BLADE Steak (€10), which, on the Chef’s recommendation, should be ordered medium-rare.
That’s what I did, and I’m glad I did, because it was really spectacular: thin, very tender meat, just salted, and three sauces to choose from (€1/each): Béarnaise; Pepper (the mildest); and Truffled Mayonnaise . I tried all three and felt that the pepper sauce “stole” the least flavor from the precious steak.
Speaking of side dishes, I also tried them all (of course!): the classic fries (3€) (double fried) served with dried rosemary; the mushroom rice (3.5€) is the perfect choice for those who like cheese (they also serve this side dish as a main course, as a vegan option, for 12€); the spaghetti (€3.5), creamy and with cream (maybe too much); the mashed potatoes (€3.5), with the softness of truffle butter and crispy sprinkles (my favorite); and the mixed salad (€3), with lettuce, radish, fried onion and vinaigrette dressing.
To top it all off, there are wines from various regions (from €6), served by the glass, carafe or bottle, beers (from €3) and also some cocktails, all priced the same at €9.
To finish off the meal, dessert is on offer and you can order it on the way out, in exchange for a small token (metal plate) that they give you with the bill.
All in all, it’ s well worth trying the steak at this restaurant, very tender, with delicious accompaniments and a very competitive price (for the area): BLADE Steak + 1 Sauce + French Fries + Beer (imperial 33cl) for 17€, not bad!
Secret Lisbon Tip: we got in at 12.30pm and were able to choose a table (very comfortable), but from 1pm it starts to fill up.
