O Lutador
Located in the heart of alcântara neighborhood, to the side of the Carris Museum, the familiar O Lutador space has one of the coolest terraces for eating snails and drinking a few beers.
And yes, the caracolada at this place really is the best we’ve tasted in the city. You’ll see that you won’t even notice the time passing or the number of portions you’ll be ordering. It’s eating snails until it’s dark.

Júlio dos Caracóis
Still Marvila it wasn’t fashionable and this house was already bringing real “excursions” to the neighborhood.
It’s already a Lisbon classic, where you can count on friendly service, excellent snails and a homely atmosphere.
Those who don’t like this pitéu don’t have to miss out, because they also serve other snacks here, such as pica-pau or a delicious bifana.

This small, peaceful house is in Algés and, in these parts, you can’t eat better snails in a house that specializes in this mollusc and also in roasted snails.

Founded in 1959 in Alvalade, Pomar de Alvalade is another place that has been on the snail route for several years.
As long as the weather is more blustery, the snails are served at 5pm, but as soon as it gets hotter, they arrive a little earlier, between 3.30 and 4.30.
Clams, clams, gizzards and woodpeckers are some of the other specialties here.
