If you’re still not familiar with 8 Marvila, one of our favorite cultural venues in Lisbon, it’s time to finally say congratulations. This weekend, from September 12 to 14, 8 Marvila is celebrating its second anniversary in the Marvila neighborhood.
Already known for being one of Lisbon’s most dynamic cultural and creative hubs, this celebration promises to shake up the East Zone of the Lisbon capital, with concerts, DJs, samba circles, exclusive cocktails and a creative market that brings together some of the most emerging brands, with an emphasis on discounts in the resident stores.
Live music
8 Marvila’s birthday party kicks off this Friday, September 12, at 5pm , with Bruno G, followed by the Giro Colectivo samba circle at 10pm, a long-awaited return of the seven Brazilian women who make up this group and who bring great energy back to 8 Marvila. Admission costs between €5 and €10.
Moving on to Saturday, the party only starts in the afternoon with the sound of Maçã e Manga, followed by a set from DJ Yvu, who will keep the dancing going until 11pm.
On the final day of the celebrations, Sunday, DJ Dedy Dread will be playing Soul and Funk, ensuring that everyone gets their dance on in the Central Square.

Market, new stores and gastronomy
During the three days of 8 Marvila’s anniversary, between 12 noon and 8pm, you’ll find a pop up market curated by independent brands with a range of designer clothes and various gastronomic proposals.
At the same time, you can also take advantage of the exclusive discounts that the stores already resident in this space will be promoting, with Anomaly (a second-hand clothes store) offering a 50% discount on all its items.
There are also two new openings at 8 Marvila: Gyra-Sol and Lucky Simon. The first brings a Mediterranean street food concept to Marvila , where handmade kebabs stand out ; the second focuses on handmade fashion design, with small-scale production and a strong connection to local raw materials.
Address: Praça David Leandro da Silva 8 (Marvila)
Opening hours: Friday to Sunday, from 12pm to 11pm
Tickets: free entry (except for the samba circle)
