It’s almost impossible that the latest bizarre phenomenon “flooding” the Internet hasn’t already appeared in your social media feed, especially on Instagram and TikTok.
The duo Angine de Poitrine, Canadians from Quebec, play microtonal math rock, a musical genre that is leaving everyone “mesmerized” when watching this enigmatic duo’s live performances.
Who are Angine de Poitrine?

Angine de Poitrine is a band that has been causing a sensation on social media after one of their concerts broke the record for views on the social media channels of a U.S. radio station.
The media explosion occurred on February 5 (2026), when Seattle’s iconic radio station, KEXP, posted a live performance by the duo on YouTube.
As soon as they struck the first chords of the song “Sarniezz,” the internet stopped to watch. The video quickly racked up millions of views and generated comment sections filled with hilarious reactions, such as “I survived cancer to see this” or an ironic “Do you guys play at weddings?”
Angine de Poitrine wear papier-mâché masks and black-and-white polka-dot suits, speak an “alien” language, and thanks to this video, which has already racked up millions of views, they’ve been in high demand for concerts around the world.
But we’re in luck because Angine de Poitrine will be performing at MEO Kalorama at the end of summer, on the first day of this major music festival.
The sound coming from Angine de Poitrine’s custom bass guitar and “camouflaged” drums is a frenetic, psychedelic mix of rock, techno, and disco, with completely bewildering and chaotic arrangements .
With their first album, Vol. I, released in 2024, they will release Vol. II in April, from which one of the most recent hits by this anonymous artistic project is already known.
The Canadian duo will be performing at Parque da Bela Vista on August 28 at the MEO Kalorama festival, on the same day as Robbie Williams, Grace Jones, and Interpol, among many others.
What makes this project from Saguenay (in Quebec) so magnetic?

Surely the anonymity of the duo, composed of Khn (guitar, bass, and loops) and Klek (drums), is one of the main reasons they quickly gained buzz due to all the mystery surrounding the identity of these creative musicians (they remind us quite a bit of the electronic music duo Daft Punk, or even Gorillaz).
The masks are never removed, and even their skin is painted to match each artist’s costume, including the black and white polka dots.
On top of that, they’ve “invented” a language that sounds truly alien; whether on stage or in interviews, Angine de Poitrine don’t speak any recognizable language, communicating through a language they created themselves, made up of strange noises and sounds.
Best of all, behind this entire visual spectacle are exceptional musicians; Khn plays a two-necked microtonal guitar with hand-carved frets, allowing him to produce notes and intervals that do not exist on conventional instruments.
Is everyone already “eager” to see them in Lisbon at MEO Kalorama?

With sold-out concerts all over the world, Angine de Poitrine has achieved, in a very short time, a level of recognition (from the public and their peers) that few can boast.
At the concert you can see at the upcoming MEO Kalorama, you’ll be lucky enough to see the duo perform the best tracks from both albums, Vol. I and II, in a show that will be both bizarre and highly performative.
