Faith No More will take the NOS Stage on July 9, 2027, at the Algés Seafront Promenade. The last time they performed in Portugal was at this very venue, in July 2010, when this summer music festival was still called Optimus Alive!
The band will headline the second day of NOS Alive’27, which takes place July 8–10, 2027.
Formed in San Francisco in 1979, Faith No More blended heavy metal, funk, hip-hop, and progressive rock into a sound that’s hard to mistake for anything else. That fusion paved the way for new approaches within rock and made the band a benchmark for the genre.
From raw beginnings to global success

Their debut album, *We Care a Lot* (1985), showcased the band’s raw energy, featuring Chuck Mosley’s incisive vocals and Jim Martin’s guitar work. Two years later, *Introduce Yourself* explored the intersection of rap and metal.
International recognition came in 1989 with *The Real Thing*, driven by the single “Epic,” one of the biggest hits of the band’s career. This was followed by *Angel Dust* (1992), *King for a Day… Fool for a Lifetime* (1995), and *Album of the Year* (1997). In 1998, Faith No More announced their breakup.
They returned to the stage in 2009 with a reunion tour. In 2014, they released the single “Motherfucker,” which preceded *Sol Invictus*, released in 2015—the band’s first studio album in 18 years.
Big hits like “Epic,” “Midlife Crisis,” “Easy,” “Ashes to Ashes,” and “We Care a Lot” are sure to be on the setlist, much to the delight of all the band’s fans.
