Do you like going to Lisbon’s gardens and parks, whatever the time of year? Then you should know that with the arrival of winter opening hours, some green spaces have undergone adjustments to their opening and closing times.
According to the Lisbon City Council (CML), several places managed by the municipality have had new opening hours since October 26. The reason? “To accompany the reduction in daylight hours “, reads the CML website.
The objectives of this measure?
According to information from CML, in addition to greater biological regulation, the aim is also to ensure adequate conditions for:
- Safety
- Comfort
- Enjoyment for all visitors.

Gardens and parks with new opening hours
Whether it’s rainy or sunny, there are those who can’t do without a stroll through some of Lisbon’s gardens and parks.
That’s why it’s important to know the new opening hours for the spaces managed by CML:
- Estufa Fria – from 9am to 5pm
- Jardim do Caracol da Penha – from 7am to 9pm
- Jardim da Cerca da Graça – from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Quinta de São António Playground – 9am to 6pm
- Parque Eduardo VII Playground – 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Quinta das Flores – from 7 a.m. to 8.30 p.m.
- Quinta da Paz – from 6.15 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Quinta Conde d’Arcos – from 6.15 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Quinta das Carmelitas – from 6:15 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Tapada das Necessidades – 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (South Gate); 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. (North Gate)
