The trail of destruction left by the Kristin depression continues to worsen. With a state of emergency already declared by the government in the most affected areas, such as the districts of Leiria and Coimbra, the impact on national mobility is severe. So, if you were planning a train trip this weekend, we have bad news.
As we previously reported in Lisboa Secreta, the passage of the Kristin depression has led to the suspension of rail traffic on several lines. However, it seems that the situation remains unchanged in some areas.
Lines with suspended service

According to the CP – Comboios de Portugalwebsite, at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 30, service remained suspended with no forecast for resumption on the following lines:
- Northern Line – on long-distance trains between Braga and Lisbon
- Western Line
- Coimbra Urban Trains
- Douro Line – suspended between Régua and Pocinho
- Beira Baixa Line
- Beira Alta Line – Intercity trains suspended
- Regional service between Coimbra B and Entroncamento
It should also be noted that ticket sales for Alfa Pendular and Intercity trains on the Northern Line and Beira Baixa Line are temporarily suspended. Before leaving home, we recommend that you check the updated information on the CP website to avoid any inconvenience.
