If you’re a fan of transcendental music, get ready to journey to the icy landscapes of Iceland through the ethereal sounds of the unmissable Sigur Rós. From Reykjavík straight to Portugal, the post-rock band has just confirmed two concerts in the country.
On September 13, the Icelandic band takes the stage at Coliseu Porto Ageas. Next up is Campo Pequeno in Lisbon on September 17, with the Lisbon Sinfonietta Orchestra and the Ricercare Choir on stage.
On a world tour
Sigur Rós returns to Portugal as part of their latest tour, which aims to celebrate “ÁTTA,” their latest album of original material released in 2023, as well as some of the post-rock band’s greatest hits.
In addition to Porto and Lisbon, the Icelandic band’s tour will visit Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, France, Spain, and Germany. Tickets for the concerts in the Portuguese capital range from €32 to €140 and will be available for purchase at the usual outlets starting March 20.
