The Festas do Mar return toCascais Bay from August 20 to 30, in what remains one of the coolest music festivals of the summer—even with the heat outside—thanks to its location right on the Atlantic coast. And, as always, admission is free.
This year there’s an extra stage
The festivities stretch from the Visconde da Luz Garden to the Cascais Citadel, with food and craft stalls complementing the music. The big news this year is the third stage: in addition to the well-known Cascais Stage and the Super Bock Stage—the latter dedicated to showcasing new talent—there’s now a new space dedicated to concerts for the little ones. In total, there are five concerts per day, one of which is designed for children, with nonstop entertainment starting at 5 p.m.
Procession and Symphony to close out the festival
On August 30, the traditional procession in honor of Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes will take place, one of the highlights of the Festas do Mar. As is customary, Sunday—and the festival—will conclude with a concert by the Cascais Symphony Orchestra.

Concerts on the Cascais Stage begin at 7:00 p.m., with three performances per night (7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m.):
