The bassist and lead singer of the Portuguese rock band Xutos & Pontapés, Tim, has been announced as the special guest for the second edition of Rockin’1000 in Portugal, which will once again be held at the Estádio Municipal de Leiria on September 6.
The spectacular musical event, which will once again bring together more than 1,000 musicians to perform various rock classics, returns to our country after the huge success of the first edition, which was sold out on a night that was memorable in every way.
For the second edition, the organizers, MOT – Memories of Tomorrow, promise an even crazier night, with the “man at the helm” of Portuguese rock showing great enthusiasm for the invitation:
A thousand musicians playing for thousands of people can only be exciting! Playing with others has always been one of the good things that rock has brought us, which is why the groups are also called ensembles! Rockin’1000 is a valuable initiative that takes this convivial experience to the next level, with musicians from all over the world playing and demonstrating that music really is a universal good. I hope my participation will be as unforgettable an experience for everyone as it will be for me! Thank you for inviting me!”
Registration for musicians…
All musicians interested in taking part in this musical adventure will be able to do so from February 19 on the official Rockin’1000 website.
Let’s remember that 750 Portuguese musicians were selected in 2024, and this year the aim is to beat that record, with even more guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboardists and singers of all ages and backgrounds.
