It ‘s one of those iconic places in Avenidas Novas, open since 1966. We have several suggestions: a hamburger on a brioche bun with pickles and mayonnaise; a preguinho; and the famous meat croquette.

Café de São Bento is on one of our favorite streets in Lisbon, Rua de São Bento.
Entering here is like taking a trip back in time, in one of the capital’s most historic cafés, which has been serving locals and curious foreigners since the 80s .
The decor and the image are everything in this place, as is the exemplary service, which every day until 2am continues to serve the best steak in Lisbon, the one that led to its success.

Snob Bar
Opened in 1964, the Snob Bar is one of Lisbon’s most emblematic secret bars, located on Rua de O Século, in Bairro Alto/Príncipe Real.

Mini Bar
Chef José Avillez’s Mini Bar is his nightspot, a sophisticated bar with lots of delicacies to try until two or three in the morning, depending on the day.
With this space, he has launched a new “fun dining” concept in Lisbon, where you can try tasting menus in small portions, as well as signature cocktails and, of course, entertainment with DJs and live shows.
The atmosphere is intimate and the decor is inspired by private clubs, making this the perfect spot for dinner or a drink until late.

Carnal
Modern and vibrant, Carnal is a gastrobar where the specialty is Mexican food, perhaps the best served in Chiado.
The project, led by the well-known Chef Ljubomir Stanisic , has Chef Luis Ortiz, a native of Guadalajara, in the kitchen and is committed to a menu of authentic Mexican cuisine, where sharing dishes are the highlight: tacos, quesadillas, antojitos, gringas and original desserts.
The décor is absolutely fascinating and just admiring it is worth a visit: it was designed by Carlito Dalceggio and inspired by Mexican culture, of course.

At Pizza a Pezzi you choose the size and variety of pizza slices you want, rectangular, square or more familiar sizes. All because here pizza is sold by weight.
It’s close to Bairro Alto, in Príncipe Real, and you can order to go, or take advantage of the counter at the entrance to bite into one of these delicious pizzas.

With a typically English style, Café do Paço, in Anjos, offers excellent service to those looking for a place to eat in Lisbon with good food until 2am.
