If you’re hungry and don’t know where to go, you can eat at Galeto until 3:30 in the morning.
It’s one of those iconic spaces in Avenidas Novas, open since 1966. We have several suggestions: a hamburger in a brioche bun with pickles and mayonnaise; a preguinho; and the famous meat croquette.

Café de São Bento
Café de São Bento is on one of our favorite streets in Lisbon, at Rua de São Bento.
Entering here is like taking a trip back in time to one of the capital’s historic establishments, which has been serving locals and curious foreigners since the 80s .
The decor and image are everything in this place, as is the exemplary service, which continues to serve the best steak in Lisbonevery day until 2am, the one that led to its success.

Clandestino Bar
Already full, but still wanting to visit Bairro Alto? Don’t worry about the time, Clandestino usually closes an hour later than other bars.
It’s a cult bar, on one of the busiest streets in Bairro Alto, full of drawings on the walls. Our highlights here are the roast chorizo and the sangria.

Cocoa from Ribeira
Where to eat in Lisbon when your stomach starts to growl again after a few well-deserved drinks? Then Cacau da Ribeira is the place to go. This pastry shop has the most unlikely opening hours you can imagine, but it’s very handy for the most nocturnal of appetites.
Caldo verde and bread with chorizo is all you need at this hour. There are also berlin balls, puff pastries and croissants – after all, this is a Portuguese pastry shop.

Pizza a Pezzi
At Pizza a Pezzi you choose the size and variety of pizza slices you want, rectangular, square or more familiar sizes. All because here pizza is sold by weight.
It’s near Bairro Alto, in the Royal Prince and you can order and take away, or take advantage of the counter at the entrance to bite into one of these delicious pizzas.

Tambarina
It’s worth going to Rua do Poço dos Negros, near the area of Santos, just to try Tambarina’s cachupa, whether it’s meat, fish or the special.
But there’s also muamba (an Angolan dish), manioc with beef, fried chicken and even a delicious chicken soup.
Like any good Cape Verdean house, music could not be missing. The atmosphere, relaxed and lively, takes you to the Cape Verde islands without leaving Lisbon.

With a typically English style, Café do Paço, in the Angels, offers excellent service for those looking for a place to eat good food in Lisbon until 2am.
