Low-cost stores are a trend that is here to stay in Portugal. Following Primark’s entry into the domestic market in recent years, other brands have decided to invest here, such as Pepco, Action, and, most recently, PrimaPrix—a Spanish retail chain.
Currently, the brand has six stores —in Guimarães, Porto, ( two in Lisbon), Coimbra, and Viana do Castelo —but is now preparing to open a new location in the Portuguese capital: on April 23, on Avenida Duque de Ávila, near Saldanha, according to Echo Boomer.

With over 270 stores across Europe, PrimaPrix stands out as an outlet for leading international brands . In other words, instead of operating with fixed catalogs and suppliers, the retail chain focuses on a “bargain” concept, offering surplus stock, new releases, and more.
Its product range is extensive and includes makeup and personal care products , cleaning supplies, and even some food items. On social media, particularly on TikTok, PrimaPrix is considered“one of the most viral,” “ due to the possibility for customers to travel the world without leaving the store, thanks to a significant international selection of products.”
