Summer may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean the season for outdoor historical reenactments is over. In fact, in September, the city of Lisbon is preparing to host another edition of one of its biggest events of its kind: the Marvila Medieval Fair.
From September 25 to 27, Vale do Fundão Urban Park promises to transform into a real-life “House of the Dragon” set. Knights, jugglers, and street performers seeking to faithfully portray the medieval era will enliven the Marvila area in a free event organized by the local Parish Council.
What can you expect from the Marvila Medieval Fair?
At the moment, we don’t yet know the detailed schedule for the Marvila Medieval Fair, but we’ll stay tuned and share the latest updates with you as soon as they’re available. That said, it’s worth noting one thing—this is an event for the whole family. In other words, kids and adults alike are welcome.
According to information already shared by the Marvila Parish Council on its official Instagram account, some of the highlights among the activities that will be available include, for example:
- Horseback tournaments
- Medieval parades
- Circus arts
- Sword fights
- Children’s games
- Falconry.
