Bairro do Lumiar will celebrate its 759th anniversary on April 5, with a big party that promises to “transport” all visitors and residents back to the nostalgic 90s.
The party will start at 9pm in Praça Verde, next to the junction between Alameda das Linhas de Torres and Estrada da Torre, where there will be a stage that will take everyone on a journey into the past of pop, rock and disco music, with the “We Are The 90’s Show”, a production of the well-known “Revenge of the 90’s”.
The nostalgic experience will not only celebrate the rich history of Bairro do Lumiar, but will also pay homage to an era when the parish was the epicenter of great concerts in Portugal.
At this event, you’re expected to dig out your old flannel shirts and be inspired by the cassettes rewound with pens and the discmans playing Disco and Grunge music incessantly.
The event will be free to all and promises to be a memorable experience, inviting both those who lived through this magical decade and new generations to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the 90s.
