The partial strikes by Metropolitano de Lisboa, scheduled for the mornings of October 28 and 30, have been called off. The threat to close most stations between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. has been lifted, with the company confirming that operations across the entire network will begin at 6:30 a.m., ensuring regular service.
The suspension of the protest comes after the Arbitration Court rejected the initial plan for minimum services, warning of the severe impact during rush hour of a “third strike in six months and the second in fifteen days.” In a statement, Metro management welcomed the decision and reaffirmed its willingness to engage in “constructive and good-faith dialogue” with the unions.
And at CP, what will happen?

Despite the return to normalcy on Lisbon’s subway system, the strike by CP – Comboios de Portugal continues.
The rail strike will peak on Friday, October 30, but passengers should prepare for service cancellations and delays on urban, regional, and long-distance lines starting as early as late Thursday afternoon, with disruptions extending through Saturday morning.
