Filling up the car is becoming less and less of a pleasant “task” for the Portuguese, with constant price hikes affecting the budgets of countless families. But what will fuel prices be like for the coming week, from October 19 to 25? Forecasts point to trends moving in opposite directions.
In this context, diesel is expected to rise by 4.5 cents per liter, while gasoline is expected to fall by 1.5 cents, according to the Automobile Club of Portugal, which cites the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).

These estimates should not, however, be interpreted as definitive, since they take into account Thursday’s closing market prices. Furthermore, fluctuations in crude oil and fuel prices through the end of this Friday, October 16, may (or may not) lead to changes.
Given the current situation, knowing where to fill up at the lowest cost is essential. The most effective way to do this is through the DGEG’s “Online Fuel Prices” website; simply apply the search filters for your district, municipality, and type of fuel.
