With the arrival of November, and just after the ‘terrifying’ period typical of Halloween, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas. After all, in Lisbon, Christmas attractions are gradually appearing, such as the iconic nativity scene at the Amoreiras Shopping Center.
If you’re curious, you can now visit the nativity scene by designer Cláudia Perdigão, which will remain in the shopping center until January 6, 2025. This work once again surprises with its detailed figures, many of which are mechanical.
With the aim of portraying the story of the birth of Jesus, in a mix of tradition and modernity, the Amoreiras Shopping Center nativity scene is renewed every year with new characters and elements.
Installed next to the central staircase, the iconic nativity scene includes information plaques and QR codes that tell the story of the work in detail. However, this is not the only attraction for the festive season.
Other surprises at Amoreiras Shopping Center
The Lisbon shopping center has also prepared other surprises that promise to please kids in particular.
From the end of November, this will be one of the places where children can meet the most famous ‘old man’ on the planet – Santa Claus.
In addition, in the Central Square, on Level 2, the youngest children and their families will have the opportunity to take part in the “Magic Christmas Village” workshop, where they can build miniatures.
