The business Tal MĂŁe, Tal Filha was born in times of pandemic, during the quarantine in April, and so this duo knows perfectly well what each of us needs, especially at this time of year.
That’s why they decided to launch a basket of homemade products with the aim of making life easier for everyone, with everything you need for Christmas Eve, from starters to desserts.
This way, Tal MĂŁe, Tal Filha says that you don’t have to waste time shopping or dirtying up the kitchen – the entire basket is made up of ready-to-serve products.
They can be ordered here until December 21, cost €65 and are ideal for five people: 18 miniature snacks (croquettes, codfish cakes and shrimp patties), a tray of duck rice or codfish with cream; a bottle of wine; a box of six sonhos and six filhoses; a Bolo-Rei, an almond tart or an apple tart; and five Christmas napkins.
2 – Gardens Christmas hamper
The Gardens restaurant is offering four Christmas Baskets full of Portuguese delicacies, in partnership with various national producers and an association with Make-A-Wish, a solution that aims not only to bring some of the best flavors to your home, but also to help those who need it most.
“Hope”, “Joy”, “Friendship” and “Imagination” are the names of Gardens’ four Christmas hampers, the purchase of which results in a €1 contribution to Make-A-Wish, an association that makes wishes come true for seriously ill children and young people throughout Portugal.
In them you’ll find wine, cheese, ham, honey and chocolate biscuits, and many other national products that promise to fill your Christmas dinner.
The price of each basket ranges from €35 to €175 and can be bought directly at the restaurant or booked via email, telephone or social media, with collection taking place at the restaurant or, if you prefer, directly at your home.
3 – Torre de Palma Wine Hotel Christmas Hamper
Christmas Hampers are a complete solution that even hotels are taking advantage of, such as the luxury boutique Torre de Palma Wine Hotel.
This hotel’s proposals contribute to the sustainability of the region through local products and have been designed and conceived to be given to a special person. They are essentially made up of Torre de Palma wines, honey and olive oil, as well as experience vouchers.
The offer consists of three different baskets: Christmas Basket 1: “Cortejo de Baco” – Torre de Palma Red Wine 2018; Torre de Palma White Wine 2019; and Torre de Palma Olive Oil for €39; Christmas Basket 2: “Basilii” – Torre de Palma Red Wine 2018; Torre de Palma White Wine 2019; Torre de Palma Olive Oil and Honey; and Rainha Cláudia Plums from Elvas, Sereno & Fonseca for €50; and Christmas Basket 3: “Alentejo” – Torre de Palma Red Wine 2018; Torre de Palma White Wine 2019; Torre de Palma Olive Oil and Honey; Rainha Cláudia Plums from Elvas, Sereno & Fonseca; Fortunato Goat and Sheep Cured Cheese; Garlic and Salt from Dona Octávia’s Smokehouse for €62.

4 – Terroir Christmas hamper
The Terroir restaurant has launched five Christmas hamper options, each linked to a different regional terroir: Douro, Beiras, Lisboa, Alentejo and Ilhas.
Each basket consists of two bottles of wine and a typical product from the respective region, and is available on request for between €49 and €98.
5 – A Praça Christmas basket
A Praça is an online platform that sells and delivers edible products and, taking into account the pandemic state in which we find ourselves, decided to launch two Christmas Baskets, perfect for satisfying between four and five people this Christmas season.
The Christmas dinner basket includes vegetables, eggs, organic olive oil, cod loins and wine, and costs 52€. The Complete Christmas Dinner Basket adds to these products homemade Alentejo bread toast, black pork chorizo, buttery sheep’s cheese, organic Galician olive paste and a Moscatel de SetĂşbal, all at a cost of €86.
Praça also has smaller hampers, ideal for gifts, with prices ranging from €12 to €76. They include wines, artisanal sweets, honey, cheeses and sausages, olive oil, bread and infusions.

6 – The Therapist Christmas hamper
As a way of helping the surrounding community in the parish of Alcântara, The Therapist restaurant has also decided to launch Christmas Hampers, specifically five of these mysterious baskets of products.
The prices of each basket are between €20 and €60 and in them you’ll find healthy food and a voucher for the delivery of a meal to those who need it most. You can find out more about this campaign on the restaurant’s social networks.
7 – Maria do Pomar Christmas hamper
Maria do Pomar is also an online platform for home delivery of fresh produce and, at this time of year, has launched its own Christmas Baskets.

7 – JNcQUOI Christmas hamper
Lisbon restaurant JNcQUOI has created five baskets with various suggestions.
They start with the Starter Basket, which includes Vale da Serra cheese, a Grainha Quinta Nova Nossa Senhora do Carmo wine and a Maldonado sausage. This basket costs €85; then there’s the Truffle World Basket, which offers truffled tomato sauce, mustard salt, olive pesto, balsamic vinegar and truffled olive oil, for a total price of €100; and the Manly Basket, with Quinta do Crasto Vintage Port wine, cigars and Zalto glasses, for €135.
For other, more demanding consumers, the JNcQUOI restaurant has also created the Gourmet Basket, with tagliolini pasta, truffle paste and cheese cream, truffle mustard, risotto and whole truffle, foie gras and pâté, and truffle pesto, truffle tomato sauce, black truffle oil, truffle salt and white truffle puree, for €275; and the Coravin Basket, which includes two Burgundy glasses and a Coravin for €420.
8 – Casa da Comida Christmas hamper
This catering/restaurant company, which delivers to your home, has launched two different Christmas Baskets: Family and Gourmet.
In the Family Basket you’ll find rice, cookies, cornbread, tea, muscatel, Reis Magos cake, pâtĂ© with sour cherry liqueur, AzeitĂŁo DOP cheese, pumpkin jam, gila and toasted almonds and a special recipe for conventual rice pudding, for €29; with the Gourmet Basket you’ll receive Herdade do Amarelo PDO virgin olive oil, cookies, puff pastry king cake, pumpkin jam, gila and toasted almonds, muscatel, AzeitĂŁo PDO cheese and a codfish recipe for 47€.
