“ÀMesa com…” is the latest gastronomic project by Chef Olivier, who owns more than 30 restaurants all over the world, from Lisbon to Bangkok.
The new gastronomic experience aims to celebrate the diversity of traditional and regional Portuguese cuisine , and will take place monthly in one of the Chef’s most recent ventures in Lisbon, the ÀCosta restaurant, in Doca da Marinha.
Cuisine from the north to the south of the country
The space on the banks of the Tagus, which is already a landmark in the Portuguese capital, will now welcome several other kitchens to its table, bringing to Lisbon some of the best delicacies you can eat from one side of Portugal to the other.
From the north and south of the country, and for three days a month, you’ll be able to enjoy an exclusive tasting menu that promises a real journey through the regional flavors of Portugal.
The “ÀMesa com…” project will thus promote signature cuisine, while at the same time further enhancing national culinary traditions. For Chef Olivier,
We want to create a space where customers can experience the best of Portuguese gastronomy without having to travel to the different regions of the country. With ‘ÀMesa com…’, we give the stage to chefs and concepts of excellence from the north to the south of the country and, at the same time, provide unrepeatable gastronomic experiences with the authenticity of regional flavors.”
The next trips
The premiere of “ÀMesa com…” took place on February 17, 18 and 19 and its first guest was the historic Adega Vila Lisa, which traveled directly from the Algarves, from Portimão, to bring the authenticity of its cuisine to the capital, with dishes full of genuine flavors.
Burro Velho (Batalha)
On April 14 and 15, you’ll be able to enjoy the delights of the Burro Velho restaurant, namely the Cabrito Estonado , with roast potatoes, giblet rice and green beans.
Located in Batalha, this restaurant offers comforting and traditional combinations and is known for its fusion of new and traditional recipes.
The dish will be available at lunch and dinner for €35 per person (excluding drinks).
School (Cachopos)
From May 19 to 21, it’s the turn of the Escola restaurant to take over Chef Olivier’s kitchen, where he will be serving dishes such as Cherne Stew, Brave Rabbit Pie with Arab Rice and Brave Pigeon with Nabiçada.
Known for its traditional Alentejo recipes, this restaurant is housed in an old elementary school and is usually a stopover point for those traveling to the Algarve or on their way back to Lisbon.
