Canil Marquês promises to fill up with craft beer fans on May 9, 10 and 11 for another edition of the Beer Nation festival “Portugal no Copo”, which this year has challenged nine national breweries to create new recipes inspired by different regions of the country (including the islands), with exclusive and limited labels and editions.
With taps starting at €2, during the three days of the Beer Nation “Portugal no Copo” festival, this party promises a lot of fun and excitement, not least because you’ll also be able to count on “creative”street food, live music, DJs, flash tattoos and even live brewing sessions, which will allow you to watch the production of craft beer in real time.
Invitations and recipes
This year’s novelty was the invitation to nine national breweries to create new recipes, from which they had to choose a Portuguese region to pay homage to, using ingredients or local references from those same areas:
- Musa – Ribatejo
- 8ª Colina – Beiras
- Mean Sardine – Azores
- Rafeira – Lisbon
- Gods of Malt – Alto Douro
- Censurada – Alentejo
- Boazona – Serra da Estrela
- Praxis – Algarve
- Canil – Trás-os-Montes
As usual, the event will be pet friendly and, in addition to the traditional entrance fee, which entitles you to a glass (€3), you can choose to donate three kilos of dog or cat food, which will then be given to a local shelter.
