It’s called Bowls and Baos and it’s the new Asian food brand that will serve the best-known dishes from China, Thailand and Indonesia to all residents of Cascais and Oeiras.
It’s no longer news to anyone that the Portuguese are completely “surrendered” to Asian cuisine, so the entrance of the Bowls and Baos restaurant in these locations offers an authentic and accessible experience, promising to conquer the palates of the residents of the Cascais and Oeiras regions .
Delivery only
For now, however, we’re only talking about a delivery service for this type of food, via the Glovo platform.
The menu is very diverse and includes starters such as Dim Sums, Spring Rolls and Edamame; main dishes such as different types of curry, aromatic soups, Pad Thai (shrimp, chicken and tofu) and Nasi Goreng; as well as a wide variety of Baos and side dishes such as fried rice and pickles.
All orders are prepared in a kitchen located in Parede and reach customers within 30 minutes, still piping hot.
Gabriel Bacchereti, head of the brand, highlights the aim of bringing a young and relaxed approach to Asian cuisine:
We wanted to bring to the market a new way of experiencing different types of Asian food, with high quality but fair prices, aimed at a younger audience.”
Bowls and Baos also differentiates itself by valuing cultural authenticity, with dishes prepared using traditional methods and typical ingredients, reflecting the growing demand for gastronomic experiences that are faithful to regional origins.
Among the Chef’s suggestions are Dim Sum Siu Mai (stuffed with pork and mushrooms), Pad Thai Chicken (fried rice noodles with chicken and tamarind) and Shrimp and Pork Belly Bao (bao bread stuffed with breaded shrimp, slow-cooked pork belly and miso mayonnaise).
