We finally visited the Ah Amália – Living Experience exhibition , after having visited the Amália Rodrigues House-Museum, listened to Fado in her garden and visited all the places in Lisbon where you can admire and listen to this artist, perhaps our greatest ever star, especially when it comes to musical entertainment.
This is an interactive and immersive exhibition where we were able to “enter” to feel even more all the brilliance that Amália still manages to emanate to all those who love and have always admired her art, her voice… and you too can take this futuristic journey, as soon as you enter the Ah Amália – Living Experience exhibition , installed in the Marvila neighborhood.
Ah Amália, the biographical and immersive experience that was missing
With a total area of 700m², in this innovative sensory experience, dedicated to the life and work of the Queen of Fado Amália Rodrigues, you will be able to go through her entire life through a unique sensory journey, where you will pass through eight rooms full of cutting-edge technologies that help you live intensely the entire journey of this artist.
From the timeline with the most interesting points of her life, in our society as well as internationally, to the virtual reality room, as well as listening to live recordings when Amália performed at the Café Luso fado house, in the Ah Amália – Living Experience exhibition you will experience several moments of amazement, both through rooms with striking scenography and through all the historical content presented here, always in very dynamic and interactive formats.
The hall of mirrors and the hologram
In addition to the technology you’ll find in the Ah Amália – Living Experience exhibition, such as watching a documentary through virtual reality glasses, a room with 360º projections and even a full-scale hologram – which is impressive – you’ll also be able to experience one of the biggest attractions of this exhibition, which is to enter an infinite room of mirrors that will leave you awestruck and where, we’re sure, you’ll take lots of photos.
The Ah Amália – Living Experience exhibition is a unique experience, of that we have no doubt! It’s more than just a collection exhibition, it ‘s a true immersion in the life of this artist, who is one of the most inspiring women in Portuguese culture.
Here you’ll find more than her biography, in these eight rooms you’ll live intensely how she lived her life, in an experience that we’re sure will be unforgettable. We loved it and highly recommend it!
