Comedian and world-renowned stand-up star Ricky Gervais will perform in Lisbon in 2027, taking the stage at the MEO Arena on March 19 with “Legend,” the show that kicked off in September in the United Kingdom, with the first dates already sold out.
Lisbon is one of nine European cities already confirmed, alongside Antwerp, Barcelona, Vienna, Paris, Zagreb, Amsterdam, Zurich, and Stockholm, with Gervais promising to announce more dates soon.
A tour that will be filmed

Legend will tour the world until the end of 2027. At that point, the show will be filmed and will become Gervais’s fifth special for Netflix.
The comedian describes the show as his most personal to date:
“Since cancel culture and most of the people I grew up with are gone, I can finally say whatever I want,” he said.
Gervais’s stage resume

The four previous specials—Humanity, Supernature, Armageddon, and Mortality—broke box office records and topped the Netflix charts. The
*Armageddon* and *Mortality* earned him the Golden Globe for Best Performance in a Stand-Up Comedy Special on Television in 2024 and 2026, respectively.
On his most recent tours, Gervais broke attendance records for English-language comedy shows in several countries, including Portugal. In 2023, his show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles entered the Guinness World Records as the highest-grossing comedy show of all time.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will once again go to charities. At the end of the Mortality tour in 2025, 2.43 million pounds were donated to animal welfare organizations around the world.
