In October, the Lisbon Museum transforms three of its venues into musical spaces.
The program, which is completely free, spans genres, geographies, and generations—ranging from contemporary Lusophone music to European sound installations— and concludes the month with a more intimate event.
The venues: Palácio Pimenta, Fábrica de Moagem, and Teatro Romano

The kickoff takes place on October 3 at Palácio Pimenta, featuring Mundu Nôbu, the association founded by Dino d’Santiago and Liliana Valpaços that works with young people from underrepresented communities.
Throughout an afternoon of conversations, slam poetry, and concerts— from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.—the program showcases emerging talents and established names in Portuguese and Lusophone music, such as Bárbara Bandeira, Soraia Ramos, and Bateu Matou.
The following day, October 4, the same venue will host the Lisboa Mistura Festival, starting at 9 p.m., in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Associação Sons da Lusofonia.
About 20 artists will share the stage on a night featuring Mayra Andrade, Karetus, Valete, Lura, Ana Lua Caiano, Stereossauro, Guto Pires, Carlos Martins, Francisco Rebelo, and Xtinto, among others.

From October 7 to 9, the Fábrica de Moagem will host the exhibition “Slash Transition, ” part of the 10th edition of the MIL Festival.
The project is the result of four years of artist residencies in European regions undergoing transformation and features ten sound installations by international artists, including Mohamed Oussama Menchaoui, Tiko Gogoberidze, Conny Frischauf, and Amal Yaakoubi, as well as a walking performance by Portuguese artist Pedro Latas.
The program also includes conversations, debates, and listening sessions, with daily hours from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
To close out October, at the Roman Theater, the “Hora de Baco” event on October 29 (6 p.m.) features Tiago Jesus as a guest, described as “a singer-songwriter of the pain we feel but so often keep silent.”
