Não é todos os dias que podemos visitar o Palácio Nacional de Sintra à noite e, muito menos, sem pagarmos entrada. Mas na quarta-feira, dia 14 de agosto, o monumento abre as portas para uma visita especial com entrada livre.
Esta foi a forma escolhida para apresentar a nova peça em exposição no palácio: um Leito de Aparato do século XVII, ou seja, uma cama, considerada única em Portugal.
Construída em pau-preto de Moçambique e decorada com prata lavrada, pertenceu à Casa Ducal de Cadaval e apenas era utilizada em circunstâncias muito especiais, como o casamento, os nascimentos ou a morte.
“Para dar a conhecer ao público esta cama rara no cenário mais apropriado – o ambiente noturno – as visitas são gratuitas e decorrem entre as 20h30 e as 00h30 (última entrada 00h00)”, escreve a Parques de Sintra no site da empresa.
Se o tempo permitir, será mesmo possível entrar na varanda dos aposentos da Rainha Maria Pia (recentemente aberta ao público), que oferece uma vista única para a Serra de Sintra e para o Palácio dos Mouros.
As visitas estão limitadas a 2500 pessoas, por isso, quem quiser participar terá de se inscrever previamente aqui. A entrada (gratuita) é efetuada por ordem de chegada.
