
After presenting the renovated Modern Art Center in September last year, there is news regarding the space corresponding to the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum.
According to a statement from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation sent to Lusa, and quoted by Jornal Económico, the museum will close for renovations from March 18, and the work is expected to last until July 2026.
Why are there works at the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum?
According to the same source quoted above, the work will focus on the following aspects:

Renovation of the air conditioning, lighting and security systems

Managing the flow of visitors

General harmonization of the various galleries, which have been subject to interventions over the years.
Nevertheless, according to the information released, between April 11 and September 1, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation will be exhibiting approximately 200 works in the gallery on the ground floor of its headquarters.
