Trafaria’s riverside promenade will once again be filled with tables, music, and the aroma of grilled food. Trafaria na Brasa is back for its second edition on August 29 and 30, featuring local restaurants, guest chefs, and a large communal table overlooking the Tagus River.
Fish and seafood take center stage
The menu revolves around what best defines Trafaria: its connection to the river and the sea. Among the appetizers served will be fish and shrimp soup, cod fritters, clam soup, octopus hot dogs, sardine nigiri, tuna sandwiches, and oysters —and, of course, you can’t miss the charcoal-grilled sardines, prepared by Marcha da Trafaria.
A long table facing Lisbon
Along the riverfront stretches a communal table where visitors and the local community sit side by side, with the beach and Lisbon serving as a backdrop across the river. For those who want to see Trafaria from a different angle, there are also boat tours on the Tagus River, operated by Rio Para Não Chorar.
Music to keep the party going
The culinary experience is accompanied by a musical lineup designed to last into the night: Marta San, Tropi Caustica, Jam do Pika, Gabriela Gonçalves, and Selecta Alice will take the stage over the two days, with sounds ranging from world music to dance floor hits.
Tradition and guest chefs
This edition combines Trafaria’s traditional cuisine with more contemporary offerings, featuring local restaurants and projects—such as Myra Ostraria, Taberna do Mar, Taberna Zé da Lídia, Casa Ideal, and Marcha da Trafaria —sharing the stage with guest chefs Matheus Santos and André Cabrita.
