It seems there are a lot of people wanting to dine high above the ground; seats for theChakall Chef Sessions “ ” are practically sold out, so the organizers of these immersive dinners 50 meters above the ground have just launched two new experiences: the Golden Hour Dinner and the Sky Brunch Experience.
The Golden Hour Dinner is an experience that will take place exclusively at 6:30 PM, designed to coincide with one of the most special moments of the day in Lisbon, the “golden hour,” near sunset— —when the city is bathed in a light that invites you to relax, in this case, to enjoy an unparalleled view from 50 meters above ground.
As for the Sky Brunch Experience, sessions take place at 12:00 PM with an equally rich tasting menu designed for moments of socializing with friends, family, or other guests at the table.
What is the SKY LOUNGE experience?
’s SKY LOUNGE is the latest aerial experience you’ll be able to enjoy in Lisbon.
It consists of a 22-seat platform that rises up to 50 meters via a crane specially equipped for this type of event , and once up there, you’ll be served the finest cuisine from some of the country’s top chefs.
This experience will tour the country, visiting Lisbon, Aveiro, Porto, and the Algarve (city to be announced), with the first sessions taking place in the comingdays— , May 29, 30, and 31— for both lunch and dinner.
Chef Chakall will be the guest chef for the Lisbon edition, where he will lead a live cooking demonstration and an original tasting menu, paired with wines, allowing guests to follow every detail of the preparation while enjoying a 360-degree panoramic view of the city and the Tagus River.
Anyone who manages to book one of these “sky tables” at sunset is sure to have an even more memorable experience.
I’m afraid of heights, but I went… and I loved it, because it’s an absolutely extraordinary and exclusive experience .
I must admit that just thinking about the idea of having a meal 50 meters above the ground gave me chills — a feeling typical of someone who is a bit afraid of heights.
The truth is that it turned out to be the most exciting “experience” I’ve ever had in Lisbon; perhaps because I’m also someone who loves adrenaline and a challenge. If you’re in the same boat as me, then don’t think twice; buckle up and get ready to indulge in Chef Chakall’s cuisine, but above all, in one of the best views of our beautiful city.

As the crane carrying the“ ” SKY LOUNGE experience travels across our country, other chefs will be invited. The dates for the upcoming Sky Sessions will be announced soon, but the chefs have already been selected:
- Ricardo Costa, Executive Chef at The Yeatman and holder of two Michelin stars, will take the helm of this “aerial kitchen” in Porto;
- Noélia Jerónimo, star chef of the Cabanas de Tavira restaurant, will be present in the Algarve (at a location yet to be determined)
- Tony Martins, named Chef of the Year in 2020, will be present at the event in Aveiro.
For Francisco C. Mendonça, Founder & CEO of SKY LOUNGE,
“We want to create a pioneering experience that combines fine dining and entertainment with a privileged view of some of the country’s most iconic cities. More than just a meal, it is a complete sensory experience, which will be available in Portugal only during these limited editions.”
