Rock in Rio Lisboa has already started counting down to what will be the 11th edition of the world’s biggest music festival in our city, the second to pass through Parque Tejo, in Parque das Nações, which will be transformed into the City of Rock to hear the best music, from the best bands and artists on the planet, on June 20, 21, 27 and 28, 2026.
After welcoming more than 300,000 people in 2024, one of the world’s hottest music festivals has already started selling tickets for the 2026 edition.

The first big names
After announcing one of the biggest headliners ever, the Americans Linkin Park (confirmed for June 21 on the World Stage), which left all rock fans ecstatic, it was time to confirm another big name in world pop: Katy Perry, who will be bringing her latest work of originals “143”, released in September 2024, and the firework diva is expected to perform many of her hits.
The news for the first Legends of Rock Day

It’s true! There will be a day dedicated to the greatest legends of strumming guitars , June 27 (Saturday), and the first name for this day is already known: Rod Stewart, one of the world’s greatest rock legends, who will present an exclusive concert prepared just for Rock in Rio Lisboa. We’re sure you’ll hear the most classic – and popular – songs – “Maggie May”, “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”, “Sailing” and “Forever Young”.
The kings of Portuguese rock, Xutos & Pontapés, will also have a big “responsibility” on the Rock in Rio line-up in 2026 , and this year they’re inviting some of their career friends to the Music Valley Stage: GNR, UHF and Táxi, three of the national bands that helped define rock in Portugal from the 1980s to the present day.
Also noteworthy is the performance of the artist Syro on the Super Bock Stage, a singer and songwriter who stood out on the national music scene with the single “Perto de Mim”, released in 2020.
World Stage

The World Stage at Rock in Rio Lisboa has hosted historic and memorable shows over the years. Some of the highlights include international artists such as Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Queen + Adam Lambert, Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse, Elton John, Ed Sheeran , Muse, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Linkin Park and Black Eyed Peas, as well as big national names.

Katy Perry
Many years have passed since the release of the smash hit single “I Kissed a Girl” (2010). However, Katy Perry’s voice and charisma have always remained at the top, making her one of the most influential pop artists of the 21st century. With a career full of hits, it is estimated that the American has sold more than 151 million records (albums and singles) worldwide. “Teenage Dream”, “Firework” and “California Gurls” are just a few of Katy Perry’s many globalhits.
Pedro Sampaio
Brazilian star Pedro Sampaio will take to the stage on the same day as Katy Perry, June 20th. The DJ, producer and singer is known for the electrifying energy he injects into his mix of Funk and other Brazilian cultural rhythms. “Dançarina” and “Pocpoc ” are some of his biggest hits. It should also be noted that Pedro Sampaio intends to “create the biggest horse in the world” at Rock in Rio Lisboa 2026.
Calema
Formed by brothers Fradique and António Mendes Ferreira, from São Tomé and Príncipe, the Portugal-based musical duo made a name for themselves with the song “A Nossa Dança”, becoming a regular presence in the national and internationaltop charts of Lusophone music. With a sound that combines African influences and modern pop, Calema have won over audiences in many countries, celebrating their 15th anniversary in 2024 with sold-out shows and a career marked by success, innovation and a strong emotional connection to their cultural roots.
NAPA
Hailing from the pearl of the Atlantic, the Madeirans are committed to Indie/Pop/Rock sounds, having made a name for themselves in 2025 , when they won the RTP Song Festival with “Deslocado”, representing Portugal at Eurovision and becoming a reference for new national music, especially among displaced and emigrant audiences.
June 21 (Sunday):
Linkin Park
The band that shaped generations with true anthems like “In The End” and “Numb ” is back for a new era. With Mike Shinoda and the rest of the core group (Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, Joe Hahn), Emily Armstrong now takes the lead vocal role. In this context, the latest album “From Zero” marks a new chapter in the life of Linkin Park, but without letting their resounding legacy in the world of Nu Metal and Alternative Rock fade away.
Grandson
Canadian-American singer, songwriter and rapper known for blending alternative rock, hip-hop and electronica into a powerful, energetic sound. He launched in 2015 and quickly gained notoriety with songs like “Blood // Water”, which stood out for their strong social and political lyrics. Since then, Grandson has released several EPs, the albums “Death of an Optimist” (2020) and “I Love You, I’m Trying” (2023), and has collaborated with artists such as Mike Shinoda , gathering a legion of fans attentive to his message of intervention and authenticity.
Cypress Hill
The legendary hip-hop band formed in Los Angeles in 1988 pioneered the integration of Latin elements into American rap. The group gained worldwide recognition with hits such as “Insane in the Brain” and “Hits from the Bong” and was the first Latin hip-hop group to win a platinum record. With a sound marked by heavy beats, provocative lyrics and advocacy for the legalization of cannabis , Cypress Hill has sold around 18 million albums and influenced several generations by mixing Rap, Rock and urban culture.

British rock and pop singer and songwriter , known for his raspy voice and charm on stage, Rod Stewart opens Legends Day at Rock in Rio Lisboa 2026. With a solo career marked by timeless hits such as “Maggie May”, “Sailing” and “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”, over the decades Stewart has sold more than 120 million records globally, making him one of the most influential and popular artists in world music. Outside the UK, Rod Stewart maintains a special relationship with Portugal, where he has performed several sold-out concerts.

Music Valley Stage

The Music Valley Stage stands out for being one of the most versatile and innovative spaces at Rock in Rio Lisboa, dedicated to celebrating different musical styles from pop, rock, funk to electronic and urban music.

Xutos & Pontapés invite GNR, UHF and Táxi
At Rock in Rio Lisboa 2026, Xutos & Pontapés will play a very special and historic concert on the Music Valley Stage, inviting three of the most legendary bands in Portuguese rock: GNR, UHF and Táxi. This performance aims to celebrate the union of the greatest references on the national music scene, providing a unique moment of energy and sharing of Portuguese rock.

Super Bock Stage

The Super Bock Stage at Rock in Rio Lisboa is dedicated to digital culture, creativity and interaction between audiences and artists. Since 2018, this stage has stood out for hosting phenomena from the online universe: TikTokers, YouTubers, podcasters, comedians and musicians, providing a diverse program full of entertainment, humor, music and viral moments.

Kaiser Chiefs
The British Indie Rock band formed in 2003 in Leeds, England, and became internationally known for hits such as “I Predict a Riot”, “Ruby” and “Oh My God”. Inspired by British rock and punk of the 1970s and 1980s, they have released several award-winning albums, including “Employment” (2005), which sold over three million copies and won them prizes such as the Brit Award for Best British Group. The band has established itself as one of the main references in contemporary British Indie Rock.

Syro
Portuguese singer, songwriter and drummer born in 1995, he came to prominence on the national music scene with the single “Perto de Mim” released in 2020. He started out in the world of music at the age of 12 as a drummer, was a member of the band Caelum’s Edge and, as of 2018, started a solo career.
