The square in front of the School of Arts and Talents in Queluz de Baixo will be given a new lease on life on April 16, as a way to celebrate the municipality’s commitment to the well-being and unity of the community.
This will undoubtedly be a late afternoon with special significance for the local population, who, starting at 7 p.m., will witness the unveiling of new urban decor, strongly marked by the emblematic hearts of the “Movimento dos Afetos.”
A new meeting place in the parish

More than just an aesthetic intervention in public space, the placement of these symbols aims to create a new meeting place in this parish, with the intention of transforming thoroughfares into spaces that invite people to slow down, socialize, and strengthen neighborhood ties.
The municipality of Oeiras has been involved in this project since 2020, when it formally joined the “City of Affection Movement” network— a commitment to promoting regular initiatives that prioritize affection, closeness, and mental health in urban spaces.
If you live in the municipality of Oeiras or work in the Queluz de Baixo area, this is an excellent opportunity to attend the unveiling and support an initiative that celebrates the best of community life: the people.
