The Carmo Ruins will once again host one of the most fantastic light and color shows you’ll ever see in Lisbon. The Lisbon Under Stars.
This immersive experience returned to the Carmo Ruins on May 2, in a celestial event that has already captivated more than 170,000 visitors since its debut in 2018.
Once again, he promises to transform Lisbon’s emblematic monument into a huge three-dimensional canvas, offering a sensory journey through more than 600 years of the rich history of Lisbon and Portugal.
An exciting journey through time
The show’s narrative is led by the unmistakable voice of Catarina Furtado, who guides the audience through an exciting journey through time, using 360º multimedia projections, virtual dancers and dazzling visual effects.
O “Lisbon Under Stars” also features special guest appearances by leading figures in Portuguese culture, dance and music, including Mariza, Teresa Salgueiro and Rão Kyao, to the sound of icons such as Amália Rodrigues, Luís De Freitas Branco, Salvador Sobral and Zeca Afonso.
The ideal stage
The Ruins of Carmo, under the twinkling stars of Lisbon, will be the ideal stage to witness some of the most crucial moments in our history, such as the Battle of Aljubarrota, the Age of Discovery, o 1755 earthquake and april 25th.
O show lasts about 45 minutes, with the audience being invited to freely explore the space, before and after this immersive experience full of light and color, experiencing the story from different angles and perspectives.
The show will be available from May 2, Monday to Saturday, from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., until July 13.
Tickets range from €15 to €20, with free entry for children under 5, and part of the proceeds will go to the Corações com Coroa association.
